Note: If you haven’t yet connected your Kitchen Display System to the network, connect it first before configuring it in the POS system.

Configure the Kitchen Display on the POS

1. Log in to your Shift4 Dine POS as a manager and navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers/Kitchen Display.
2. Select Add New Device.
   
3. Enter a name for your Display display. The name of your Display should reflect usage, such as "Prep Station."
   
4. In the IP field, select IP and enter the IP address. To find the IP address of your Display:
   1. Turn on your Display.
   2. Check the lower right corner of the screen for the IP address.
      
   3. Enter this number in the IP field.
5. Select Kitchen Display System from the Device Model dropdown.
   Note: When the Display is selected, the other values on the screen will be set by default.
6. Tap Save.
7. Tap the Send Config button.
   
8. Once sent, assign the items and modifiers you want the Display to show.
9. Tap Save.
10. Go to the Order menu and create a test ticket to send to the Display and ensure everything is working properly.
     
11. Repeat these steps for each Display.
