Use the Sales Report in the Shift4 Dine Customer Hub

Access the Sales Report

1. Log in to the Shift4 Dine Customer Hub.
2. From the left navigation menu, select Reporting > Reports. 
   

Using the Sales Report

The Sales report in the Shift4 Dine Customer Hub provides a summary of net sales, guest counts, and per-guest spending, with comparison and filtering options to support trend analysis.

Filters

At the top of the screen, three primary filters control what data the report displays.

• Select Location to choose one or more business locations to include.
  
• Select Period to define the time range for the report. A comparison option is also available to benchmark the selected period against the same period last week or last year.
  Important: Reports display closed business day data only.
  
• Select Group By to choose how the report data is organized. Options include: Location, Order Types, Revenue Centers, Day Parts, Hours, 15 Mins, and Employees.
  

Sales Table

The table presents the following columns for each grouping:

Column	Description
Location	Business location name
Net Sales	Total sales for the selected period
Guests	Total number of guests
Sales per Guest	Average amount spent per guest

Each column supports sorting, filtering, column selection, and an information tooltip.

Actions

The Actions menu provides the following options:

• Select Manage Columns to customize which columns appear in the report.
• Select Add to Saved Reports to save the current configuration for future use.
• Select Download Report to export the report data in CSV or Excel format.
• Select Discover Insights to access pre-configured report views that answer common business questions. Each insight loads with filters, groupings, and columns already applied.

Additional Filters

Expand the report with additional filters:

Time-based:

• Hours
• 15 Mins

Operational:

• Employees
• Order Types
• Day Parts
• Revenue Centers

Performance:

• Net Sales
• Guest Count
• Sales per Guest

Adding filters allows for deeper analysis of performance trends.

Refine Data

Three toggles are available to adjust what the report displays:

• Show Chart displays a visual graph of the report data.
• Compare to Last Week adds comparison data for the same period last week.
• Compare to Last Year adds year-over-year comparison data.
