Power On, Off, or Reboot the Device
- Power on: Press and hold the power button on the left side of the device, just below the USB-C port.
- Power off or reboot: Press and hold the same button until a menu appears, then select Power Off or Reboot.
Check the Commerce Engine Version
- On the black Shift4 idle screen, tap five times in the upper-right corner. A menu slides open on the left side.
- The Commerce Engine version is displayed in the menu.
Run a Connectivity Check
- On the black Shift4 idle screen, tap five times in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Run Connectivity Test.
- Tap Run Connectivity Test again to start.
- Review the results. All endpoints should show as reachable.
Note: Device Cloud will show as unreachable by default. This is expected unless your integration specifically requires it. If the Shift4 Gateway shows as unreachable, visit the Device is Offline article.
Locate the Serial Number
The serial number is printed on a label on the back of the device. If the label is not accessible, contact Shift4 Support for help locating it in the device's system settings.
Network Requirements
The V660p requires internet access to communicate with the Shift4 platform. For the full list of addresses, ports, and firewall rules, visit the Commerce Engine Network Requirements.
