Description: When accounting is tracked by an employee (as opposed to by a physical cash drawer), SkyTab POS refers to this as an Employee Bank.
Drawer Options
When the Drawer button is pressed while using an Employee Bank, users see an Employee Bank dialog box, including the ability to Close Employee Bank, which will ask to remove the drawer even though the drawer is not physical.
Manager Activity
Managers see Employee Bank under Manager > Activity if an employee uses an Employee Bank.
For information on how to set up or modify the job settings, visit Set up Job Cash Handling for a Job.
Employee Cannot Open Cash Drawer Due to Employee Bank Troubleshooting
In some cases, the employee may not be able to open the cash drawer, despite having all the necessary permissions granted, and it will work fine for other employees. In such situations, proceed with the following steps:
- Log in to the POS Terminal with the employee who is unable to open the cash drawer.
- Navigate to the Order screen and press the Cash Drawer button in the bottom middle of the screen.
- On the Drawer Options window, verify that it displays Employee Bank. If it does, this would be the reason why the drawer is not opening for that specific employee.
- Press the Close Employee Bank button.
- Manager step: Navigate to Manager > Settings > Users > Jobs and change the "Employee Job Cash Handling" setting to Cash Drawer.
After completing those steps, the employee should be able to select the cash drawer when logging in to the POS Terminal and use cash drawer functions as intended.
