Description: Learn about the Send button for a ticket on SkyTab POS. Sending the order does not close or settle it, it only commits it to the system.
Send Options
When the SEND button is pressed and held, you are presented with four options:
Send & Stay: Sends existing Ticket Items and stays within the current open ticket.
Send & Continue: Sends Ticket and exits to the Ticket Grid view.
Note: This is the current default behavior of the SEND button in the POS.- Send & New: Sends ticket and creates a new ticket.
Send & Logout: Sends Ticket and logs the current user out of the POS.
When should I use each selection?
Send & Stay is most commonly used when an employee wants to send part of an order, such as an appetizer, back to the kitchen to be prepared while the rest of the order is collected and entered.
Send & Continue is normally used when the order has been taken and is ready to be prepared by the kitchen.
- Send & New is used when an employee wants to send an order then create a new order right away.
Send & Logout is most commonly used on shared stations. It is used to prevent another user from creating a new ticket with the wrong login.
