Add a Ticket Name
On SkyTab POS, from the Order Entry screen:
- Locate the "Ticket Name" drop-down at the top of the Ticket Details pane.
- Tap Ticket Name.
- Enter the desired name.
- Tap Save.
The ticket name will now display on the order.
Require Ticket Name by Order Type
To require a ticket name for a specific order type:
- Navigate to the Manager > Settings > Orders.
- Select the desired Order Type from the left-side menu.
- Ensure the "Require Customer" toggle is disabled.
Note: The Require Ticket Name option is unavailable when Require Customer is enabled. - Toggle ON the Allow Custom Ticket Names toggle.
- Select the checkbox for Require Ticket Name.
- Tap Save.
Once configured, the POS will prompt the user to enter a ticket name when the ticket is sent.
Duplicate Ticket Name Handling
Under "If Custom Name Already Exists," choose how the system should handle duplicate ticket names:
- Automatically generate a new name: The system creates a unique ticket name automatically.
- Prompt to rename or combine tickets: The user is prompted to rename the ticket or merge it with an existing ticket that has the same name.
These settings determine how duplicate ticket names are managed and are independent of the "Require Ticket Name" option.
