Description: Performing a push from distribution schedules is what allows D365 to apply the changes that you make from the Back Office that affect the Retail POS/eCommerce environments. Since the Call Center environment is based out of the Back Office, changes that you make to the Call Center will go through immediately and do not require this step to be performed.
Distributions are defined by a subset of jobs, which themselves are defined by a set of subjobs. These subjobs identify the specific database tables that your changes will be applied to. Because of this, depending on what changes you make, the distribution job that you push will differ.
- To begin, navigate to Retail and Commerce > Retail and Commerce IT > Distribution Schedule.
- Select the desired job that will affect the module that you applied your changes to.
- The table below summarizes the distribution schedule jobs to be pushed when changes are made to specific elements and forms
Changes to: Distribution Schedule Job Hardware Profile 1090 Payment Methods 1070 Store Payment Methods 1070 POS Operations 1090 Screen Layout / Button Grid 1090 Pushing Access Token exchange to Channel 1070 All Jobs 9999 - If you’re not sure which Job you need to run, you can use 9999 to push all of the jobs.
- Navigate to the top of the page and select Run now.
- Leave everything as is and select OK.
- To check the status of your update push, search for Download sessions.
- The status of your download will initially be set to "Available." You will know it has been completed because the status will change to Applied.
- If the POS application is already running, close and re-open it for your changes to take effect.
