Manually Enter Weight for Items Sold by Weight on SkyTab POS

Description: For items priced by weight, learn how to enter weights on SkyTab POS manually. This adds quick functionality without add-on hardware, and for sites with a scale that might be suffering from a connection issue, this adds a quick path to avoid operational disruptions.

Prerequisites:

• Item must be set up to be Sold by Weight in Manager > Settings > Menu > Items. Select item from the list of items and select the Advanced tab. The toggle must be on (blue).

• Use Weight Scale must be toggled on (blue) in Manger > Settings > Hardware. 

• User permissions for "Allow Manual Weight" must be enabled in Manager > Settings > Users > Jobs > Settings or user will be prompted for Manager override.

To manually enter weight:

1. From the Order Entry screen, tap the item that is sold by weight.
   
2. If the scale is connected, the item weight displays. Tap Manual Entry to input the weight manually. If the scale is disconnected, an "Unable to establish connection to scale" message displays. Tap Manual Entry.
          
3. Tap "oz" to enter the weight in ounces or "lb" to enter it in pounds. Enter the weight using the number pad. Tap Confirm.
   
   Once confirm is tapped, the item is added to the check and reflects the manual weight entered.
