Online Ordering Requirement
The DoorDash Drive application works with the Online Ordering application, also located within Shift4 Marketplace. Please ensure that you have installed the Online Ordering application before installing DoorDash Drive.
Software Availability and Requirements
To integrate with DoorDash Drive, ensure your POS system and software match the minimum requirements.

Harbortouch Hospitality, POSitouch, Future POS, Focus POS, and Restaurant Manager require an additional software component to connect the POS to Lighthouse (Shift4’s cloud platform). Once installed, this enables data synchronization and integrations between Marketplace apps and visibility in Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM). Please contact support or your dealer for assistance.
Note: This requirement does not apply to SkyTab POS, which is natively connected to Lighthouse and does not require any additional software.

Installing the DoorDash Drive Marketplace Application
- Log in to Lighthouse Business Manager.
- Select Marketplace from the left navigation bar, then select DoorDash Drive.
- Select View details to access the DoorDash Drive application page.
- Select Install.
Note: If prompted to Request POS Upgrade, select and follow the prompts to arrange a software update before you can continue with the installation. - Select Allow to continue the installation. This will allow DoorDash Drive to access your Marketplace location.
DoorDash Drive Signup Form
- Next, select the DoorDash Drive Signup Form to sign up for an account.
- Complete the form. There are four main steps to complete. Select Next at the bottom of the each screen to complete the form.
- On the fourth page, Step 4: Terms & Conditions, check the box to agree to the Drive Fulfillment Agreement, then select Submit.
- When complete, a confirmation page will display, showing that the form was submitted. You can close the page and return to the DoorDash Drive Marketplace.
DoorDash Drive Account Activation

After returning to the DoorDash DriveMarketplace page, select Activate Account to start the activation process. It can take up to 30 minutes for DoorDash to complete the activation of your account.
Important: After 30 minutes, if the account is still not activated, contact Shift4 Support for assistance. -
When activation is complete, a new screen will appear for the DoorDash Drive application in Marketplace. A green check mark indicates that activation is successful and the app is installed correctly. You can leave instructions and a phone number for couriers to contact you.

Online Ordering Configuration for DoorDash Drive Order and Delivery Settings

Next, you will need to configure your Online Ordering application to use DoorDash Drive for delivery orders. If you haven’t installed Online Ordering from the list of Shift4 Marketplace applications, please do that next.

Once Online Ordering is installed, navigate to the Online Ordering application within Shift4’s Marketplace and select the Takeout/Delivery tab at the top of the screen. Under Order Settings > Order Type, to activate delivery, select either Allow Takeout and Delivery Orders or Allow Delivery Orders Only.
Note: To disable delivery orders at any time, select Allow Takeout Orders Only. -
Under Delivery Settings:
- To enable DoorDash Drive, check the box to Use Delivery Service Provider for delivery.
Note: Uncheck the box at any time to disable the DoorDash Drive application. - DoorDash delivery fees are billed directly to the restaurant. If you wish the customer to pay some or all of the fees, enter the desired amount in the Delivery Surcharge. This setting is optional and can be left blank.
- To enable DoorDash Drive, check the box to Use Delivery Service Provider for delivery.
- When finished, select Save.
