Description: The Standing Order feature allows suite administrators to create orders and mass assign them to future events. Additionally, suite holders can simply select a reorder button to replicate an order they previously placed.
Set Up Ordering Restrictions
Processing time for Standing Orders
Often times Standing Orders are placed prior to the season starting. The most common edits for Standing Orders are to delete the entire order for a specific event. Due to this common practice, there is a Process Standing Orders configuration to prevent kitchen production reports from being inflated with Standing Orders that may eventually be canceled/deleted. When a Standing Order is placed for events, they will not appear in kitchen production reports until after the processing time.
To configure the processing time:
- Go to Connect > Suites > Settings.
- Go to Order Management
- Select the pencil icon under "Process Standing Orders."
- Enter the number of days prior to an event that Standing Order should be consolidated into kitchen Production reports.
After a Standing Order is placed by a suite admin, a suite user can see this order when logged into the PreOrder Portal. The suite user can make edits to this order themselves prior to the PreOrder cutoff, as it appears as a regular PreOrder.
When an edit is made to an individual order, it is no longer considered a Standing Order as it differs from the rest. This order is immediately processed and consolidated into kitchen production reports.
Configure Time Restrictions for Reordering a PreOrder
