Description: To create an event for the venue that is not tied to Inventory, follow the steps below. For more information about Inventory events, reference Create a New Inventory Event.
- In Connect, select Events in the left-side menu.
- Select Calendar from the dropdown.
- Select the month and then click on the numeric date of the desired event.
- Configure the options and settings for the event. These settings are required:

Name: Enter a name for the event.
- This will be used for Suites PreOrders and Reporting so make sure it reflects the published event title and/or date.
- Date & Time Start: Select the Date and Time the event will start.
- Date & Time End: Select the Date and Time that the event will end.

Name: Enter a name for the event.
- Other optional settings include descriptions, alcohol start/end times, expected attendance, weather, genre, tour, etc.
- Configure the Cash Room options and assign an event type or price level if needed.
- Select Continue.
- Choose the Vendors that will be operating during the event.
- Use the Include All / Exclude All options to mass select/unselect vendors.
- Select Save to add the event to the calendar.
Note: When using the Venue or Vendor Start/End times, the venue or vendor will automatically close once the End time has passed. The venue or vendor will remain closed until they are manually opened, or the next event will have a start time configured to reopen them automatically.
