Enable Manual Weight Entry Without a Scale on SkyTab POS

Description: Learn how to enter item weight manually on SkyTab POS for sites lacking a scale or in cases where a scale isn't connected or communicating.

Prerequisite

• User permissions for "Allow Manual Weight Entry" must be enabled in Manager > Settings > Users > Jobs > Settings, or the user will be prompted for Manager override.

To set up manual weight entry:

1. Navigate to Manager > Settings > Menu > Items and select the Advanced tab.
2. Tap the item to configure manual weight entry.
3. Under "Items Sold by Weight," enable the toggle for Item Sold by Weight.
   
4. Enable the toggle for "Enable Manual Quantity."
   
5. Select the "Quantity Decimal Places" from the dropdown (1-3). The default is 3. Tap Ok.
   
   
6. Select the "Default Unit" (OZ or LB). The Default is LB. Tap Ok.
   
   
7.  Tap Save.
8. On the Order Entry screen, select the item and a popup window opens to Enter Weight Manually. 
   1. You can change between OZ and LB here if needed.
   2. Enter the weight using the keypad.
      
   3. Tap Confirm.

The item with the weight displayed is added to the ticket.
