In addition to the different views explained below, you can select the Search bar in the upper right of the screen. It searches for a match between the entered value and the item's name, displaying a results list.
Departments View
This view is selected by default. Each department is listed to the right of the Ticket Details pane. Selecting a Department displays all the items assigned to it. Each item can only be in one department.
- Ideal for businesses with numerous items that can be easily sorted into multiple departments.
- The Department view can list 11 departments and 33 items on the screen before scrolling is necessary.
Groups View
Select Groups near the top of the screen to switch to Group view. Each group is listed to the right of the Ticket Details Pane. Selecting one displays all the items associated with that group. Items can be assigned to multiple groups and subgroups simultaneously.
Display Groups and Subgroups help organize large menus, like bar or wine lists, by categorizing items into smaller sections (e.g., liquor type, wine region) to reduce scrolling. Items can appear in multiple groups or subgroups, enabling shortcuts and faster access on speed screens.
Favorites View
Select Favorites near the top of the screen to switch to the Favorite Items view, where you can see a list of all the items that have been marked as being a favorite. They are listed in the order added under Menu > Settings > Favorites. This view allows for 44 items listed on the right without scrolling.
Default Menu Type Configuration
Sometimes, you want the Groups or Favorites to open automatically in the Order screen view. To configure the default menu type:
- Navigate to Manager > Settings > Users > Jobs
- Select the desired job and find the Default Menu Type section.
- Select the desired default menu type (Departments, Favorites, or Groups) and select the blue OK button.
- After choosing the desired default menu type, select the blue Save button to confirm the changes.
