Description: The Echo POS system offers several options for customizing how a receipt is presented. Review the various functions, options, and customization settings that you can use below.
Merchant Options
When the transaction is completed, you are presented with three options:
Print receipt: Prints out a paper copy of the receipt for the customer at the local receipt printer. On a Credit Card Transaction, it prints out three receipts:
- One Itemized Receipt
- One Customer Copy
- One Merchant Copy
Email receipt: This emails a copy of the receipt to the customer instead of printing out a paper copy. The customer must be selected and have an associated email address for this to function properly.
No receipt: No itemized receipt prints for the customer. However, for a Credit Card transaction, the Merchant Copy and the Customer Copy still print unless a Minimum Threshold is set.
Receipt Settings
The Receipt Settings can be edited by navigating to Manager > Settings > Receipt Settings.
Internal:
To adjust the actual printer settings, please go to Local Printer Setup or Remote Printer Setup (whichever is applicable).
Receipt Fields
- Enable Printed Receipt: Enables the print receipt selection when completing a transaction.
- Enable Digital Receipt: Allows you to choose to email the receipt to the customer when completing a transaction.
- Disable Payment Slip: Disables payment slips from printing from the POS depending on the Minimum Threshold value:
- Minimum Threshold: The lowest value of a ticket required to print out a payment slip (i.e. any ticket over $25 prints a payment slip)
- Print Items: Toggles the ability to print the line items on the receipt.
- Print Receipt Automatically: Prints a receipt automatically at the end of a transaction as well as secondary options show up allowing for additional print options (it is not possible to stop this from happening).
- Print Modifiers: Toggles the ability to print the item Modifiers onto the receipt.
- Print Modifier Price: Toggles the ability to print the item Modifiers’ price onto the receipt
- Print Tip Suggestions: Allows you to choose whether or not you want Tip Suggestions printed out onto the Customer Copy of the receipt itself. This option can only be activated if the Sign-On Screen is disabled.
- Receipt Footer: Allows you to adjust what the receipts say at the bottom.
