Description: Learn how to add tip hints to a transaction or guest check receipts on SkyTab POS.

- Navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers/KDS.
- Select the receipt printer where you want the tip hints to print, then select the Advanced tab.
- Turn on the toggle for Show Tip Hints.
- Select which of the following location(s) to display the Tip Hints:
- Guest Check Receipt
- Transaction Receipt
- Credit Slip
- Navigate back to the General tab and set the suggested percentage (%) Tip Hints amounts you want to show on the receipt.
Note: If any fields are left blank, they will not appear on the receipt. The information displayed in the window will be presented on your receipt in the same order. - For Show Calculated Totals, select the dropdown for how the tip hints are calculated when using Advantage to allow calculating on either the Cash or Non-Cash totals.
- Choose whether to calculate tips using the Cash or Non-Cash totals and select Ok.
Select "None" to avoid printing a combined total amount and only show the suggested amount based on the cash total. - Tap Save to commit the changes.
Note: Calculated tip hint totals are available to all merchants on v1.95 and above.
Tip Hints are shown on guest receipts and based on the configured percentages and configured ticket total calculation. These amounts are then added and presented as a final total amount to simplify the guests' experience.
