What is causing this Message?
During payment processing on the terminal, after inserting or tapping the card, the terminal may display a series of messages if there is a delay in receiving a response from the payment gateway. These messages are triggered if the system does not receive a return from the gateway within the designated time frames. Previously, the terminal took longer to process or failed without informative messaging. Now, the terminal displays the following messages to keep the user informed:
Message 1: "Payment is taking a little longer than usual, please wait." (Displayed after 6 seconds)
Message 2: "Still trying to complete the payment, please wait." (Displayed after 16 seconds total)
Message 3: "Trying the payment one last time, please wait." (Displayed after 26 seconds total if BroadPOS receives a timeout greater than 30 seconds)
How do I resolve this Message?
These messages inform the user that the payment is still being processed. The user does not need to take any action to resolve this issue. However, if the payment does not go through after these messages are displayed, it may indicate a problem with the gateway or the network. In such cases, the user may need to retry the payment or contact support if the issue persists.
