Description: Learn how to subscribe to updates and verify the operational status of systems and alerts through the Shift4 Support website.
Access External System Status Using the Shift4 Website
Use this section to verify if any systems are not operational.
- Navigate to the Shift4 Support website.
- Select Support > System Status.
When the external Systems Statuspage is accessed:
- If any of the systems are not operational, the specific systems will appear.
- When all systems are operational, the following will appear:

Check Internal Alerts
- Navigate to Shift4 Internal Alerts or in Statuspage, select View Status Page.
Note: Enter the requested information if additional authentication is required.
The following items are available on the Internal Alerts page:
- Plus sign (+): Expands a group.
- Minus sign (-): Collapses a group.
- System operation status: Reported for each system.
- Internal alerts: Each with the option to subscribe to a specific alert.

Subscribe: If available, when selected, will provide an option to receive notifications regarding that specific incident
Note: The incident subscription link is specific to that incident. For example, the Subscribe link on the Multiple Billing Error and PayByLink Maintenance are distinct. Select a notification method along the top row of the pop-up box.
Subscribe to Updates
- Select Subscribe to Updates.

Choose a notification method along the top row of the pop-up box.
Note: When selecting a notification method, additional instructions may appear for verification.Icon Notification Method Get email notifications whenever Shift4 Internal Alerts creates, updates or resolves an incident.

(Select a Country Code and Phone Number)Get webhook notifications whenever Shift4 Internal Alerts creates, updates, or resolves an incident. Also whenever a component status changes. Close the window - Place a check mark next to the components to receive notifications.
4. Select Save at the bottom right of the screen.
Check Incident History
From the Internal Alert page, select Incident History.The following items are available on the Incident History page:
- Current Status: Returns to the Internal Alerts previous page.
- Filter Components: Displays each available system component group and the components associated with each.
- Date Range: Use the < and > arrows to navigate forward or backward.
- Incident Overview: Grouped by month, the incident title, timestamp, and a brief overview are shown.
- Incident Report: Selecting the title will bring up additional information about the incident.
View Incident Details
- Select the title.
- To return to the Current Status page, select Current Status.
Subscribe to Alerts from External Page

Navigate to the Shift4 Systems Status page
- Select Subscribe to Updates
- Choose a notification method along the top row of the pop-up box.

4. Place a check mark next to the components to receive notifications.Icon Notification Method Email notifications whenever Shift4 creates, updates or resolves an incident.

(Select a Country Code and Phone Number)Get incident updates and maintenance status messages in Slack. Get the Atom Feed or RSS Feed Close the window - Select Save at the bottom right of the screen.
