Taking a Payment on SkyTab Air
Before You Begin
- If you haven't created a ticket yet, visit Create a New Ticket.
- For ticket updates before payment, visit the Ticket Functions Overview.
Supported Payment Types
SkyTab Air supports both cash and non-cash payment types.
- For non-cash payments, complete the transaction directly on the device.
- For cash payments, the process depends on the type of user:
- Employee Bank users can complete the payment directly on the device.
-
Cash Drawer users will see the Cash button greyed out and a message that says:
"Use POS Workstation."
This means the transaction must be finalized at the POS terminal assigned to the drawer. The device does not handle the physical cash; only the drawer workstation does.-
Not sure which one you are?
If the Cash option is disabled during payment, you’re likely a Cash Drawer user and should complete the transaction at the terminal.
