Description: Learn how servers offer guests the option to receive digital receipts during checkout on supported SkyTab POS devices.
Guest Receipt Workflow
After a payment is completed, the server can offer the guest a receipt via:
- Text Receipt
- Email Receipt
- Print Receipt
- No Receipt
If the guest chooses Text or Email, one of the following may occur, depending on the device:
- On SkyTab Air or Glass, the server may hand the device to the guest to enter their phone number or email directly, or enter it on the guest’s behalf.
- On the SkyTab POS workstation, the server enters the guest’s contact information using the server-facing interface.
If the guest has previously provided their contact info, the system auto-fills the field to streamline checkout. Once the info is entered, the server or guest taps "Submit," and the receipt is sent digitally.
Notes:
- The choice of who enters the contact information (guest or server) is based on device type and workflow preference.
- Print and no-receipt options remain available on all supported devices.
