The Order Entry screen has been fully redesigned across all SkyTab devices to deliver a faster, more intuitive experience. While each device type features subtle adjustments tailored to its screen size and use case, the core design elements remain consistent for a unified workflow.

Why was the Order Entry screen redesigned?
To improve speed, clarity, and touch performance across all devices. The updated layout simplifies menus and supports modern workflows.
Do I need to retrain staff on the new interface?
Minimal retraining is needed. While the interface looks different, the core functionality remains familiar and intuitive.
How do I log out or switch users now that the top bar is gone?
Log out and user options have moved to the kebab menu (⋮). This change reduces visual clutter and streamlines the header area.
Shared Changes Across Devices
Ticket Header Bar (New White Bar):
- Back Arrow: Replaces the Cancel button.
- Order Number & Table Name: Displayed clearly at the top.
- Print Icon: Quick access to print the ticket.
- Kebab Menu (⋮): Consolidated access to advanced options.
Dropdown Controls:
- Order Type

Visual & Functional Enhancements:
- Blue header bar replaced with a white bar for a cleaner look.
- Gray bar removed: Employee name and logout options streamlined or relocated.
- Modernized icons: Clearer visual cues for easier navigation.
- Pinned Ticket Totals: Always visible totals at the bottom of the screen.
- Item List Scrolls Independently: Better visibility and smoother navigation.
- Long Press enhancements have been added to the “Send” button.

Action Button Layout
- Send: Now appears on the left.
- Pay: Stays on the right.

Workstation (POS)
- “Send”, “Pay”, and “Pre-Auth” buttons at the bottom of the screen.
- “Fast Pay” options appear above action buttons.
- "Manage" is now found in the kebab menu.
- Pre-Auth remains available.
SkyTab Air (Handheld)
- Action buttons are placed just below the redesigned header to improve accessibility on smaller screens.
- Pre-Auth button is currently not available.
- Kebab menu includes:
