Description: Learn how to accept different payment methods on Shift4 One (formerly known as SkyTab SOLO).
Note: For merchants using Shift4 One, all transaction processing should be completed in the Shift4 One application. The only two exceptions are EBT transactions and instances where Shift4 One cannot process the transaction. In both cases, the BroadPOS application must be used to complete the processing.

Payment Type Settings

Cash Payments
- Enter the received amount and select Continue.
- The screen will display the appropriate change due. Provide the customer with their change and select how they would like their receipt.
Card Payments
- After selecting Payment Card, proceed to the tip screen. Once the desired tip is selected, select Continue.
- Process the payment by tapping, inserting, or swiping the customer’s card.
- You will receive confirmation once the payment has been successfully processed, and you can select how the customer would like their receipt.

How Tender Type Appears in Reporting
Payments processed with a card are now automatically identified as Credit or Debit based on the card used; no manual selection is needed.
This tender type is reflected in reporting, allowing you to distinguish between Credit Card and Debit Card transactions for better accuracy in reconciliation and analysis.
