Verify and Adjust Microphone Input Settings
- Select the Start button (Windows logo) at the bottom of your screen.
- Select Settings > System.
- Select Sound.
- Scroll to the Input section, under Choose a device for speaking or recording, select your preferred microphone from the dropdown list.
- Speak into your microphone and watch the Input volume indicator bar.
If the microphone is working correctly, the input bar will move as you speak.
To adjust sensitivity:
Use the Input volume slider to increase or decrease the microphone volume as needed.
Troubleshooting Tips
If your microphone is not working:
- Confirm the correct microphone is selected under Settings > System > Sound > Input.
- Make sure the microphone is not muted using a hardware switch.
