Description: Learn how to install your receipt printer, connect it to the POS terminal, plug in power and cash drawer cables, load paper, and turn it on for use.
Note: After installing your receipt printer, configure it in the POS system to ensure it is set up correctly for printing receipts.
SkyTab POS SNBC Receipt Printer
SkyTab POS uses an "SNBC" thermal printer for receipts.
Connect the Receipt Printer
Turn the receipt printer upside down so you can see the ports.
- Plug the power cable into the port, and the other end of the power cable into a power outlet.
Note: The power cable uses a snap-in connection. It should be installed with the flat end of the cable facing down, and it will quietly click once it is securely connected. To disconnect it, pinch the power cable to release the connection. - Plug the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable into the printer port.
- Plug the other end into the terminal's USB hub port.
- Plug the cash drawer cable into the port (if applicable).
- Using the knob to release the lid, insert the receipt paper and make sure it's oriented correctly.
- Turn on the printer by pressing the power button, and the green light will turn on.
