Initiate Swap Out for a Lane 3000 or 3600
- Contact Shift4 to request payment device swap by going to https://www.shift4.com/support. Explain the pinpad issue.
- Receive replacement.
Swap Process
Close Ops
- Sign into Ops as manager and go to the Manager Function screen.
- Select the Close Ops button.
Restart Windows
- Expand the Windows button to show the Windows Power Options.
- Select Restart.
Note: If shutting down via the software is not an option, power down Micros workstation using the physical power button.
Make the Swap
- Unplug the pinpad from the blue USB 3.0.
- Plug the new pinpad into the same blue USB 3.0 port.

Power on the Micros workstation.

Once Ops is running on the POS and the Shift4 logo appears on the pinpad, the swap process is complete.
- Return the old device using the return label included in the parcel.
