Overview
Customers must enroll in Shift4 Loyalty before they can earn or redeem rewards. Enrollment is completed using a customer-facing enrollment link that allows customers to sign up on their own mobile device.
Once enrolled, customers can immediately begin earning loyalty points on purchases.
Important: Customers cannot enroll directly at the SkyTab POS workstation at this time. Enrollment must be completed using the enrollment link or QR code.
Step 1: Access Your Customer Enrollment Link
During the Shift4 Loyalty installation process in Lighthouse Marketplace, a unique Customer Enrollment URL is generated for your business.
This enrollment link:
- Is used by customers to register for your loyalty program
- Can be shared digitally or displayed in-store
- Serves as both the registration and login link for customers
Tip: Save your enrollment link so it can be reused across all customer-facing channels.
Step 2: Create and Display a QR Code
To make in-store enrollment fast and easy, you can convert your enrollment link into a QR code.
Create a QR Code
- Copy your Customer Enrollment URL.
- Use any QR code generator to create a QR code from the link.
- Download or print the QR code for display.
Display QR Codes In-Store
For best results, place QR codes in high-visibility areas such as:
- Checkout counters
- Tables or menu stands
- Receipts
- Signage near the register or entrance
Step 3: What Customers Do to Enroll
From the customer’s perspective, enrollment is quick and simple:
- Scan the QR code or select the enrollment link.
- Complete a short registration form.
- Submit the form to finish enrollment.
- Start earning loyalty points immediately.
Important Enrollment Notes
- Customers must enroll using their own mobile device.
- Enrollment cannot be completed directly on the SkyTab POS.
- Each loyalty account is associated with a unique email address and phone number.
Best Practices to Increase Enrollment
In-Store
- Train staff to mention the loyalty program during checkout.
- Direct customers to scan the QR code to enroll.
- Use signage to highlight how easy and fast enrollment is.
- Include enrollment messaging on printed receipts.
Digital
- Add the enrollment link to your website footer or header.
