Description: Review how to set margins for SNBC receipt printers on the SkyTab POS software.
Here is an example of receipt prints when margins are not set up in the SNBC receipt printer settings.
Equipment
Margins need to be set for receipt prints to print out correctly for these printer models:
- SNBC BTP-S80
- SNBC BTP-R880NPV
- SNBC BTP-R180III
- SNBC BTP-M300E
Process of setting up margins
Margins for receipt printers are set up in Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers. When the printer is selected in the General settings, press the Set Margins button, which can be found in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Important: Margins must be set up on the POS Terminal to which the receipt printer is connected. If set up from another POS Terminal, it would show an error message, and the margins will not be set. To see which station the receipt printer is assigned to, it can be found in General > Edit Printer Setup > Assigned Station. The station number is shown in the top right corner next to the business day.
Once margins are set for the receipt printer, the message “Margins are set” appears. After this message is displayed, the printer should be tested. Reprint one of the open or completed tickets from the Order screen to test.
