Redeem Gift Cards on SkyTab Online

Description: Follow the steps below to redeem gift cards on SkyTab Online.

Once your customer has entered an order and proceeded to the Checkout, they can choose to pay with a gift card. 

1. Enter the gift card number in the "Gift Card Code" field and select Apply Gift Card.
   
   
   After the gift card has been applied to the ticket, the customer is prompted to select an amount to redeem:

   • If there is sufficient balance, the entire check can be paid with a gift card.

   • The customer may choose to make a partial payment using the gift card if there is an insufficient balance or if he or she does not wish to use all of the balance.

2. Enter the amount in the "Pay with gift card" field and select Redeem.

Additional Customer Payment/Tips

When a gift card has been used to fully settle a check, the customer will not be able to leave a tip online using the gift card balance or by using a credit card since card issuer rules generally prevent leaving a credit tip with no credit payment. Customers can still provide a cash tip when picking up their order or when it is delivered.

If the gift card balance was insufficient to cover the balance, the customer needs to add an additional Payment Method to the order. If your location offers cash payments, the customer can choose to settle the check and pay a tip with cash or complete the payment (including a tip) using a credit card.
