Description: Find out when to expect data to appear in an Enterprise Extract.
For more information on Enterprise Extracts, refer to the Enterprise Extracts Guide.
Following the payment lifecycle process, data will appear in an Enterprise Extract once the transactions are batched and settled. To aid with understanding, here is a basic flow:
- Authorization: This takes place during your Operational Time, which is set by your payment gateway.
- Batch Creation: Approved authorizations are added to a group of individual transactions, which are then submitted for payment. Batches are created by a Business Auto Close process.
- Batch Processing: The processor receives the batch information at the Processor Cut Off, where the processor settles the transactions during a payment collection cycle.
- Settlement: Batches are settled, and you receive a payment deposit to your account. This is also known as funding.
The batching event actions take place for enterprise customers at the following times:
Batching Event | Time (Daily - Eastern Standard Time) |
Operational Time | Midnight to Midnight |
Business Auto Close | 1pm (following day) |
Processor Cut Off | 11pm (following evening) |
Enterprise extract files are created after the batches have been processed.
The table below states when the data will flow into the extract files. Processing delays can result in data being generated in a later date extract file.
Event | Day of Week | ||||||
Transaction Date | Sun | Mon | Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat |
Batch Submission Date* | Mon | Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat** | Sun |
Enterprise Extract Creation Date |
Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat | Mon | Mon |
Merchant Funding Deposit | Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Mon | Mon | Mon |
* No batch processing takes place on a federal holiday - processing will occur on the next day.
** No batch processing on a Saturday - processing will occur on Sunday.
Note: Extract files contain processed/settled transactions. If a transaction is reprocessed (e.g., rejection), an extract file will contain the original transaction (after approval), and the rejection will be in a later extract file once that rejection has been processed.
