Add Balance to an Internal Gift Card for Dynamics 365

Description: Dynamics 365 provides a gift card module out-of-box. All of the data for these gift cards resides inside the D365 database. The Shift4 connector can be used to pay for these gift cards to activate or add balance. The following steps will walk you through adding a balance to the gift card.

1. Navigate to Retail and Commerce > Channels > Stores > Gift cards.
   
2. This will bring up the Add to gift card balance form. Enter the gift card number into the form.
   
3. Doing this will automatically populate the rest of the fields in the form. Enter the amount you’d like to add to the gift card under the "Amount to add" field.
   
4. Once done, select Payments at the bottom of the form.
   
5. This will populate the Customer payments form. From here, select New.
   
6. Enter the customer payment information. Once finished, select OK.
   
7. Close the Customer payments form from the top-right corner.
   
8. This will bring you back to the Add to gift card balance screen. You may proceed to select OK to process this sale and add the balance to the gift card.
