Configure How to Group Items and Display Modifiers on SkyTab KDS

Two settings for the Group function on KDS are used to roll up like items.

• Configure how to group like items with regards to the original Group By setting (as configured in Printer/KDS settings on POS - this currently only applies to Seats, additional Group By options coming soon!)
• Configure how to group modifiers with regard to matching across multiple items.

To configure the 'Group By' button functionality and how to display modifiers:

1. Tap on the gear icon near the bottom left of the screen to open the Settings screen.
   
   
2. Select Layout.
   
   
3. Under Group Duplicate Items, configure the 'Group By' button and control how items are grouped and how modifiers are displayed. By default, these settings match the previous functionality of the Group button on the KDS Tickets screen.
   To utilize the new functionality, select one or both of the following as needed:
   1. To roll up items within their original Group, check the option for "Keep Original Grouping."
      • The default is Off - roll up across the set Group By option.
   2. To roll up items when only the Item matches, check the option for "Items Only."
      • The default is 'Items and Modifiers Match Exactly."
        
   3. Tap Save.
