Description: Learn how to add a fulfillment printer to a SkyTab POS. Fulfillment printers are only designed to work with SkyTab Kitchen Display Systems (KDS). If you do not have a KDS, this procedure does not apply to your location.
Note: This procedure assumes you have already added the printer to your Shift4 network. If this is not the case, you need to contact your IT department or a technician to install the printer on the network before continuing.
Note: You need manager permissions to complete this procedure.
Note: For this configuration, you need to Assign a Fulfillment Printer for a SkyTab KDS Station.
You need the IP address of the printer you want to use as a Fulfillment Printer. Printers that are connected to your SkyTab POS system via USB only will not work.
Fulfillment Printer Functionality
The fulfillment printer's purpose is to print out the item slip once the ticket/order has been completed on the SkyTab KDS device.
Fulfillment Printer Configuration
- On your SkyTab POS, navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware, then tap the Printers tab.
- At the bottom of the Printer list, select Add New Printer.
- On the Add New Printer dialog, enter the name of the printer.
- Enter the IP address for the printer you will use for fulfillment in the provided field.
- Select your printer model from the dropdown.
- Remaining on the Add New Printer screen, use the dropdown to select Fulfillment Printer from the list.
- Press OK after selecting the use.
- When you are finished, tap Save.
