Description: Follow the steps below to update the connection settings and resolve the "Lane Closed" error on an IPP350 device.
- Reboot the device by holding the yellow and # buttons at the same time.
- Once the device displays the following page, enter in 2634, and hold the green button and the F button.
- Press 3 for TDA.
- Press 0 for Configuration.
- Press 0 for Communications.
- Press 0 for Select Comm Type.
- Press 3 - USB<>HID.
- Then select the green button to save.
- Select the red button three times to go back.
- Finally, choose 1 - Yes to save and reboot.
APL/SDK FreedomPay Connections
The new FreedomPay APL/SDK gateway option with IPP350 devices requires a different connection than the traditional configuration.
Method 1:
- Once powered on, watch for the screen (white background/black text) that has tiny text. Security will precede it.
- Enter this quickly while on the tiny text page:
- 2634
- Green button
- Press 3 for TDA.
- Press 0 for Configuration.
- Press 0 for Communications.
- Press 0 for Select Comm Type.
- Press 4 for USB<>SerialConv (CDC).
- Press the green button to save.
- Press the red button to go back (press three times).
- Press 1 for Yes to save and reboot.
Method 2:
Once configured, you can also manage the communication port by following the steps below:
- Press the F key five times once the IPP is fully booted up.
- Select Change Port.
- Use the arrows to scroll to USB<>SerialConv (CDC).
- Select Save.
