Description: Learn how to configure the Customer Facing Display (CFD) for customer tipping in Connect to enable cashier-free tip options.
Tipping on the CFD provides customers the ability to verify what cashiers are ringing into the system and provide a stress-free way for the customer to leave a tip without having to consult the cashier and eliminate the cashier asking if the customer wants to leave a tip.
To enable tipping on the CFD:
- Within Connect, select Options > Terminal Role.
- Select the desired Terminal Role and navigate to the Checkout tab.
- Set Digital Signature = [Yes].
- Within Connect, select Options > Terminal Role.
- Select the desired Terminal Role and navigate to the Calculations tab.
- Set Tipping Enabled = [Yes].
- Tip at charge = Yes.
- Tip Percentage = [Yes] or [No] (No for Dollar amount).
- You may set pre-configured tips by filling in Custom Tip (1 - 4).
- You may also set one of your Custom Tips as a Default Custom Tip by selecting the desired option in the Default Custom Tip dropdown [⇩].
