Power On and Off the PAX A930
Power On: Press and hold the POWER button for two seconds. The button is in the upper right corner of the device.
Power Off: Press and hold the POWER button in the upper right corner of the device, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the power off.
Power On and Off the PAX A80
Power On: Press and hold the POWER button for two seconds. The button is in the upper right corner of the Keypad.
Power Off: On the A80, press and hold the POWER button in the upper right corner of the Keypad.
Power On and Off the PAX A800
Power On: On the A800, press and hold the POWER button for two seconds. The button is on the left side of the device.
Power Off: On the A800, press and hold the POWER button on the left side of the device.
Charging
Before starting the A930/A800, fully charge the battery:
- Plug the USB into the USB cord Adapter
- Plug the USB cord Adapter into an AC power supply
- Plug the other end with the USB C connector into the USB C port on the left side of the terminal
- Charge the battery until full
Credit Sale
- From the application idle screen, tap SALE.
- Enter the sale amount.
- Tap CONFIRM
- Insert, swipe, tap card, or key-in card number.
- Minimize keyboard.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Enter the expiration date.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Select Card Present 1. Yes, 2. No.
- Tap OK.
- Enter the numeric portion of the Street Address.
- Enter Zip Code.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Enter CVC2 code.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Terminal communicates with Host.
- Tear slip and enter OK.
Credit Return
- From the application idle screen, tap RETURN.
- Enter password.
- Tap ENTER.
- Enter the return amount.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Swipe card or key-in card number.
- Minimize keyboard.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Enter expiration date.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Select Card Present 1. Yes, 2. No.
- Tap OK.
- Terminal communicates with HOST.
- Tear slip and enter OK.
Credit Void
- From the application idle screen, tap V/SALE.
- Tap ENTER.
- Enter the original transaction number.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Review transaction information.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Terminal communicates with HOST.
- Tear slip and enter OK.
Debit Sale
- From the application idle screen, tap DEBIT.
- Tap SALE.
- Enter the sale amount.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Insert, swipe or tap card.
- Customer enters PIN.
- Terminal communicates with HOST.
- Tear slip and enter OK.
Debit Void
- From the application idle screen, tap DEBIT.
- Tap V/SALE.
- Enter password.
- Tap ENTER.
- Enter the original transaction number.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Review transaction information.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Terminal communicates with HOST.
- Tear slip and enter OK.
Tip Adjust (Restaurant Only)
- From the application idle screen, tap FUNC.
- Tap TIP MENU.
- Tap SCROLL UNTIPPED (or other desired method, then follow appropriate prompts).
- Tap the transaction you wish to tip.
- Review transaction information.
- Tap ADJUST.
- Enter the tip amount.
- Tap CONFIRM.
- Repeat as needed.
Print Report
- From the application idle screen, tap FUNC.
- Tap REPORTS.
- Enter password.
- Tap ENTER.
- Tap on the desired report and follow the prompts (tapping ‘Default’ will immediately print the report while using current settings).
Settlement
- From the application idle screen, tap FUNC.
- Tap BATCH.
- Tap BATCH CLOSE.
- Terminal will print the report.
Enable Wi-Fi
- Tap Settings in the bottom-right corner of Android home screen.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap on the toggle in the upper right corner to toggle Wi-Fi on/off.
- Select the desired network.
- Enter the network password (if prompted).
- Tap Connect.
- Tap the Circle Button at the bottom to return to the Android home screen.
Enable External Pin Pad
- From the application idle screen, tap FUNC.
- Tap Settings.
- Enter password.
- Tap ENTER.
- Tap System Settings.
- Tap External Card Reader.
- Select Auto.
- Tap Pin Pad Settings.
- Select External pin pad.
- Tap < icon in upper left corner 3x to return to the idle screen.
