Description: Item descriptions can display details such as recipe reminders, dish descriptions, allergens, or other information to share with customers. Learn how to add item descriptions, which you can view on the Order Entry screen before or after the item has been added to the ticket.

Add an Item Description
- On the POS, navigate to Manager > Settings > Menu > Items.
- Select an item from the list you wish to add a description.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Add a description in the "Item Description" field. This may include the recipe, dish description, or allergen information.
- Select Save.
View an Item Description
Before the item is added to the ticket:
- From the Order Entry screen, find the item on the menu.
- Press and hold the item button to open the description.
- Select Done to close the popup, or Add to Order to add the item to the current order.
After the item is added to the ticket:
- From the Order Entry screen, select the item on the ticket.
- From the Options menu, tap the Description button.
Note: If multiple items are selected, the Description button is disabled.
Note: If an Item does not have a description, the button still appears, but with the default message "No description."
