Note: Splitting tickets requires special permission in SkyTab POS. If you attempt this process and are prompted for a manager PIN, you do not have permission to split tickets.
To begin the process of splitting a ticket, select an existing order. You have two methods to access the Split Check option.
Manage and Manage Tickets Buttons
- The first (and easier method) is to select the Manage button on the Order Entry screen with the ticket open. You can find this on the bottom left side of the screen under the ticket after selecting "Send" on the top right corner of the ticket.
- Alternatively, under Grid View, highlight the desired ticket(s) to split and select Manage Ticket(s) in the lower-left corner of the screen.
- Highlight the order number at the top of the ticket and press Split Ticket at the bottom of the screen. This will populate a new blank ticket onto the screen. The blue icon at the top of each ticket indicates the number of times it was split.
- Once the second ticket has appeared, relocate the item(s) or guest(s) to the other ticket by highlighting the item or guest on the first ticket and then selecting the location on the second ticket where you would like it to appear.
- When you have completed the split, select Save on the bottom right of the page.
