Description: Learn how to install the Ingenico USB driver and configure the setup. Without this driver, Windows may load a generic driver that does not create or manage a usable COM interface, blocking POS/host software from communicating with the terminal.
Important: The Ingenico PIN Pad will NOT work on Windows 7 terminals without installing this USB Driver. This does not necessarily mean that we should not install these drivers on newer Windows versions to verify whether the operating system itself is blocking the connection.
- Download the latest version of Ingenico USB Drivers.
- Extract the file from the folder and open it to start the installation.
- On the Ingenico USB Drivers Wizard Welcome screen, select Next to begin the installation.
- Select Next to accept the default destination folder.
- Install the driver with USB Driver parameters configured as shown, substituting a COM port number not already in use in the bottom left corner.
- Check the checkbox for Force COM Port Feature enabled.
- Enter the desired (and available) COM number in the leftmost box of Select by Connection Order.
- Select Next.
Note: The above settings tell the Jungo driver that any supported device that is connected should be COM 9 in this case.
- Uncheck Uninstall Microsoft Usbser driver(s) then select Next.
- Select Install to accept the default start menu folder and install the driver.
- Select Finish to exit.
