Description: When Shift4 updates a security certificate due to the impending expiration of the existing certificate, it may be necessary for an interface that uses that resource to import the new certificate to be able to continue to connect to that resource. The simplest way to obtain the certificate for import is to navigate to the page in a browser and export the certificate.
Internet Explorer
- Navigate to the page that uses the certificate. (Example: For i4Go with iframe, https://i4m.i4go.com)
- Right-click the page and select Properties.
- Select Certificates.
- In the window that opens, select the Details tab.
- Select Copy to file. You will be prompted to select an export format. Select the format appropriate for the webserver or interface. If in doubt, the web developer or Interface vendor should be consulted.
Firefox
- Navigate to the page that uses the certificate. (Example: For i4Go with iframe, https://i4m.i4go.com)
- Right-click and select View Page Info.
- Select the Security icon.
- Select View Certificates.
- In the window that opens, select the Details tab.
- Select the Export button.
Google Chrome
- Navigate to the page that uses the certificate. (Example: For i4Go with iframe, https://i4m.i4go.com).
- Right-click the page and select Inspect.
- Select the Security tab.
Tip: If this tab is not visible, select the >> for a drop-down menu. - Select View Certificate.
- In the window that opens, select the Details tab.

Microsoft Edge
