Why are my tips missing?
You may be using Full Cashier Mode, which assigns tip ownership to the cashier. If tips should go to the original server, consider switching to Limited or Standard Mode. Learn more about Ticket Payment Mode.
Why can’t I close this ticket?
Your role might be missing the "Access to All Tickets" permission, which is required for Limited and Full Cashier Modes.
The manager took my tip
If a manager is not assigned Manager Mode, they may unintentionally take ownership of tips when processing payments. Update their job settings to use Manager Mode.
My Sales Reports are incorrect
This usually means ticket ownership isn’t aligned; the employee listed as the sales owner doesn’t match your intended setup. Check that each job has the correct Ticket Payment Mode assigned so ownership flows as expected in reports.
Does changing the Ticket Payment Mode retroactively change ownership on existing tickets?
No. Ticket Payment Mode changes only affect newly created tickets going forward.
Can I override ownership on a single ticket without changing the entire job's mode?
No. Ticket ownership behavior is controlled by the job’s Ticket Payment Mode and applies to all tickets that the employee interacts with.
Is it possible to track pooled vs. individual tips in reporting?
Yes. Make sure your ticket ownership settings align with your tip structure. For pooled tips, Full Cashier Mode is typically used, so one person collects and redistributes tips.
How do I know which employee owns a ticket’s tips or payment?
Review the ticket details in the POS system. Ownership fields are based on the assigned Ticket Payment Mode at the time of payment.
