You may not have received the original temporary password email sent despite having our addresses whitelisted due to your email domain restricting emails based on content.
If this is something in your control, you should try to correct this issue so you can receive all emails from Shift4 in the future. If it is not in your control, you can resubmit the Administrator password reset request using a different email address.
If you are using a webmail address (Yahoo, Gmail, etc) then a few words of caution must be given:
- Generally, we do not reset passwords to webmail addresses because some webmail providers reject our emails or mark them as junk based on content. You must specify in the “Reason for reset” field that you are using the webmail address because you have been unable to receive the email at your business domain to get past our initial verification of the request.
- There is no guarantee that using a webmail address will work. It is still possible for Shift4 management to reject the request for such an account. It is also possible that if sent, the webmail provider blocks the email.
