What is causing this Error?
The "Error sending KDS config: Failed to connect to /<ip_address>:9100" error occurs when pressing the Send Config button on SkyTab POS.
This can occur if the IP address does not match the settings for the KDS on the SkyTab POS or if the KDS is not connected to the network.
How do I resolve this Error?
Note: You must have manager permissions to complete this procedure.
Verify the IP Address in the Error Message Matches the IP Address of the KDS Device
Note: The IP address of the KDS is found by tapping on the gear icon near the bottom left of the KDS screen.
The IP Address is listed under App & Device Details in the App Information section.
If the IP address does not match:
- Log in to your SkyTab POS and navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers.
- Select your SkyTab KDS from the list of printers.
- In the IP field, verify the IP address matches the IP address of the KDS device.
- Press Send Config when you are finished.
Verify the KDS Is Connected to the Network
If the KDS is not connected to the network, log into your router to verify the connection. Contact Support if you are unsure of how to do this.
Perform a Reboot on the KDS
- Make sure the IP address of the KDS is set to static. Refer to the Configure the IP Address for SkyTab KDS article for more information.
- Completely power off the KDS, wait 10+ seconds, and power the KDS back on.
