Description: Connect your Online Ordering storefront to Google Search and Maps using Order with Google (OwG) so customers can place orders directly through your branded experience.
Note: This feature is currently available only for Pilot users.
Overview
Order with Google (OwG) allows customers to discover your restaurant on Google Search and Google Maps and seamlessly transition into your Online Ordering experience.
When Online Ordering is enabled, Order with Google is automatically activated for your location. Google acts as the discovery layer, directing customers to your Online Ordering storefront where orders are completed.
Who is This For?
Restaurant owners and admins using Online Ordering who want to drive more direct online orders through Google.
How Order With Google Works
When customers search for your restaurant on Google, they may see options such as Order Online, Order Pickup, Order Delivery, or View Menu.
Depending on your setup, customers will either be redirected directly to your Online Ordering storefront or see a list of ordering providers (such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.).
When configured correctly, your Online Ordering storefront appears at the top of the provider list, labeled "Preferred by this business," guiding customers toward your branded ordering experience. All orders placed through this flow are processed through Online Ordering and sent directly to your Workstation.
Important: Your restaurant name, phone number, and address must exactly match between Shift4 and your Google Business Profile. If they don't, your Online Ordering storefront won't appear in Google ordering results.

Why don't I see "Order Online" on Google?
Common reasons include:
- Your Google Business Profile isn't verified
- Your phone number or address doesn't match
- Online Ordering isn't enabled
- Your ordering link hasn't been added or set as preferred.
