Overview
LoyaltyMatch is a loyalty program platform that integrates with Shift4 Dine and awards loyalty points based on closed transactions. Operators configure earning rules, rewards, and program settings through the LoyaltyMatch platform.
LoyaltyMatch can:
- Award points based on closed tickets from Shift4 Dine
- Support configurable earning rules and reward catalogs
- Allow operators to define point thresholds and redemption rules
- Provide a branded guest-facing portal for viewing point balances, browsing rewards, and redeeming rewards
Before You Begin
Confirm the following before starting:
- Shift4 Dine is active at your location and processing transactions
- You have admin access to Marketplace
- You have a LoyaltyMatch account (visit loyaltymatch.com or contact LoyaltyMatch at support@loyaltymatch.com to get started)
Important: LoyaltyMatch awards points based on closed tickets received from Shift4 Dine. Points are not awarded retroactively. Only transactions processed after the integration is active generate loyalty points.
Ensure Shift4 Dine is processing transactions correctly before activating LoyaltyMatch. Transactions that do not close properly in Shift4 Dine will not trigger point accrual.
Step 1: Install LoyaltyMatch From Marketplace
- Log in to the Shift4 Dine Customer Hub.
- Select Marketplace.
- Search for LoyaltyMatch or browse the Loyalty category.
- Select Install on the LoyaltyMatch app page.
- Complete the installation process.
After installation:
- LoyaltyMatch receives the installation request and provisions the connection.
- You are redirected to loyaltymatch.com/shift4pos to complete account setup.
- LoyaltyMatch begins receiving closed ticket data from Shift4 Dine.
No menu synchronization or additional POS configuration is required.
Step 2: Configure Your Loyalty Program
Log in to your LoyaltyMatch account and configure your loyalty program.
You can:
- Configure branding, including program name, logo, colors, and guest-facing identity
- Define point earning rules — how many points guests earn per dollar spent or per transaction
- Build a rewards catalog — add the rewards guests can redeem (complimentary items, discounts, tickets, experiences, etc.)
- Set point thresholds and redemption rules
- Configure enrollment settings — how guests join your loyalty program and how they access their points balance and rewards
- Review and activate the program
Step 3: Test the Integration
- Process a test transaction in Shift4 Dine.
- Confirm LoyaltyMatch receives the transaction data.
- Verify points are awarded according to your earning rules.
- Confirm the guest-facing rewards portal displays the expected branding and rewards.
- Test a reward redemption.
