Additional Mandatory Steps for SkyTab Mobile
Disable Demo Mode
This step is significant because "Demo mode" is an option available for training. Any transactions performed under "Demo mode" will not be sent to be processed and will be wiped from the terminal once "Demo Mode" has been toggled off. Continue below for more information. Visit the Disable Demo Mode for details.
Important: Do not skip this part because if "Demo mode" is not disabled, processed transactions will not be batched out.
Verify Correct SkyTab Mobile MID
- Open the SkyTab application. If you’re brought to a screen that says “Welcome to SkyTab!”, swipe left until you reach the “Take a look for yourself!” screen and fill out the contact detail fields to begin.
- Confirm that the MID displayed on the bottom of the login screen matches the one of your location.
Important: If you see a different number than your MID, contact support.
Test a Transaction
- Create a test ticket on the POS and add an item.
- Change the price of the item to $0.01.
- Open the ticket on SkyTab Mobile.
- Press the Pay option and tap, swipe, or insert a credit card. For the tip, select $00.00 since this is a test transaction.
- Once approved, you'll have the option for the receipt to be printed, emailed, or skipped.
