Change Quantity on Hand Using Long Press for a Menu Item on SkyTab POS

Description: Learn how to use long press on a menu item to quickly change the quantity on hand (QoH) instead of changing it through the Manager > Settings > Menu > Items area.

When you press and hold an item on Order Entry, a popup appears on the SkyTab POS to edit the QoH. If you lack the Access Menu Setup permission, the action prompts for a PIN override.

Change Quantity on Hand

Note: The user must have Access Menu Setup permission.

1. On the Order Entry Screen, tap and hold on the item whose quantity needs to be changed.
2. Using the number pad, enter a new value for Quantity on Hand.
   
   Note: The number pad defaults to the current value for QoH. It changes when the user inputs a new number on the number pad.
   
3. Tap Save when finished, which returns you to the Order Entry screen.

Use Quantity on Hand Long Press to Edit Item Tracking Settings

With the release of SkyTab POS v1.95, inputting any value between 0-9998 executes the following actions: 

• Sets QoH to the value entered
• Disables “Allow Ordering if Qty is 0”
• Enables “Low Stock Indicator”
• Enables “Display on Login Screen”

 If the quantity is set to 9999, the following occurs:

• Sets QoH to 9999
• Enables “Allow Ordering if Qty is 0”
• Disables “Low Stock Indicator”
• Disables “Display on Login Screen”

One result of these updates is that setting an Item to QTY = 0 now automatically means the item is fully 86’d (removed) from SkyTab POS and SkyTab Online.
