Requirements
Enable House Accounts and Set the House Account Threshold:
For house accounts to be used in the software, they must first be enabled globally:
- Log in with manager access.
- Navigate to Manager > Settings > Business > Customers.

Slide the toggle to the right for Enable House Accounts.

Set the House Account Threshold, which is applied to all customers.

- Tap Save to keep your settings.
Create a Customer:
To use House Accounts on SkyTab POS, you must first create customers in the customer database under Customer > New Customer.
Once the customer is created, you can find them in the Customer section, located at the top center of the screen. You can also view customer information, such as Phone, Address, Email, or Comments, by clicking on the specific name of the customer. These fields can be edited if needed.
House Account Settings
SkyTab POS has a few options, which are accessible on the POS, such as:
Pay Account Balance
- From the customer database, choose a customer.
- Select House Account, this shows past orders that the customer made and paid with the House Account tender type and the current balance owed by the customer.
- The balance can be paid by pressing the Pay Account Balance button.
Print Account History
Print the Account History report for a House Account from the customer database. Choose a customer. Select House Account > Print Account History.
Set Account Threshold
To set up a custom House Account threshold from the customer database:
- Choose a Customer.
- Select House Account > Set Account Threshold.
- Enter the threshold amount.
- After tapping Save, a new value in the Account Threshold tab is displayed.
House Account Usage
To make an order for a House account:
- Create a ticket by going to Orders > New Ticket or by opening an already existing ticket from the Order section.
- Once a ticket is created, assign a customer to the ticket by pressing the user icon button on the top right corner of the ticket.
- Using the search bar, filter customers by entering their first or last name and assign the desired customer by clicking on it.
- When a customer is selected and items are added to the ticket, payment has to be made by pressing the Take Payment button.

To process the payment using the House Account tender type, select the House Account tender type.
Note: You cannot apply a credit to a House Account (deposit funds into another person's House Account as a gift or contribution, resulting in a credit balance on that account). They should use Gift Cards if they wish to do this.

After pressing the House Account button, a payment dialog displays, where you will see the calculations made for the transaction.
To add the tip to the House Account payment:
- Enable the tip option in the payment settings under Manager > Settings > Payments.
- Select the House Account tender.
- Slide the toggle to enable "Allow Tip" and select Save.
- If over tendering, the amount of the ticket change cannot be left as such an option is not available. Pressing the Done button will complete the payment.
- Once the payment is confirmed on the Customer > House Account > Orders screen, the ticket will show up with the current balance owed by the customer. The balance can be paid by pressing the Pay Account Balance button.

When "Pay Account Balance" is pressed, the House Account Balance To Pay dialog appears. The amount can be changed in the dialog box to make a partial payment. When a satisfactory amount is entered, press OK.

After the balance is confirmed, the Tender balance screen displays where the payment can be made using Cash, Credit, or Check tender types and completing the payment.
Important: Partial payment cannot be made while paying the owed amount. To change the amount to pay, go back to the previous step (Customer > House Account > Pay Account Balance). -
Once the payment is confirmed, it will appear in the Customer > House Account > Payments section.
House Accounts Reporting
The House Accounts report is found under Manager > Reporting > Customer House Accounts Balance. To open the report, highlight it, and press the Generate Report button.
The report displays the Customer Name, House Account Balance, and House Account Threshold.
