Description: Review how to change the communication type of the Ingenico iPP320/iPP350 PIN Pad to/from USB, Serial, or Ethernet connectivity below.
USB to Serial Mode
To convert the iPP320/iPP350 PIN Pad from USB to Serial Mode:
- During the boot process, a copyright screen will appear; while this screen is displayed:
- Enter 2634.
- Press the green button.
- On the PIN Pad menu, the screen will display "Press F for menu," press the F button.
- Verify the PIN Pad is in USB to Serial mode from the functions menu:
- Press 3 for TDA
- Press 0 for Configuration
- Press 0 for Communication
- Press 0 for Com type
- Press 4 for USB to Serial Conversion
- Note: In case there is no option 4 for USB to Serial Conversion, click on the arrow-down button until it appears
- Go back by pressing the red button several times until you are in the Configuration Menu.
- Select Save and Reboot.
Ethernet
To convert the iPP320/iPP350 PIN Pad to Ethernet:
- During the boot process, a copyright screen appears; while this screen is displayed:
- Enter 2634.
- Press the green button.
- On the PIN Pad menu, the screen displays "Press F for menu," press the F button.
- Verify the PIN Pad is in USB to Serial mode from the functions menu:
- Press 3 for TDA
- Press 0 for Configuration
- Press 0 for Communication
- Press 0 for Com type
- Press 2 for Ethernet
- Go back by pressing the red button.
- Select Save and Reboot.
