Change the Communication Type on Ingenico

Description: Review how to change the communication type of the Ingenico iPP320/iPP350 PIN Pad to/from USB, Serial, or Ethernet connectivity below.

USB to Serial Mode

To convert the iPP320/iPP350 PIN Pad from USB to Serial Mode:

1. During the boot process, a copyright screen will appear; while this screen is displayed:
   1. Enter 2634.
   2. Press the green button.
2. On the PIN Pad menu, the screen will display "Press F for menu," press the F button.
3. Verify the PIN Pad is in USB to Serial mode from the functions menu:
   • Press 3 for TDA
   • Press 0 for Configuration
   • Press 0 for Communication
   • Press 0 for Com type
   • Press 4 for USB to Serial Conversion
     • Note: In case there is no option 4 for USB to Serial Conversion, click on the arrow-down button until it appears
4. Go back by pressing the red button several times until you are in the Configuration Menu.
5. Select Save and Reboot.

Ethernet

To convert the iPP320/iPP350 PIN Pad to Ethernet:

1. During the boot process, a copyright screen appears; while this screen is displayed:
   1. Enter 2634.
   2. Press the green button.
2. On the PIN Pad menu, the screen displays "Press F for menu," press the F button.
3. Verify the PIN Pad is in USB to Serial mode from the functions menu:
   1. Press 3 for TDA
   2. Press 0 for Configuration
   3. Press 0 for Communication
   4. Press 0 for Com type
   5. Press 2 for Ethernet
4. Go back by pressing the red button.
5. Select Save and Reboot.
