- Sync Orders upon completion: Enable this feature if you want all orders to sync to the backend immediately after transaction completion.
- Sync Walk-in and booking upon creation
- Adjust appointment time when service starts: Appointment time slot in the booking calendar automatically updates to the current time when the appointment status changes to “In Service” (originally booked time can be viewed in appointment details).

- Database maintenance time period: Edit when the database should be cleaned up - recommended during business closed time.
- Enable offline drawer closing: When this feature is enabled, drawer closeout totals will be calculated locally based on sales data currently present on this particular device. This can help to make the drawer closing process faster if your internet connection is slow. Internet access is still required for closeout data to sync properly after the drawer is closed and appear on reports. This mode is not recommended if you are intending to use a web application to make sales under the same user simultaneously.
- Protect drawer with pin code: User is required to enter a PIN or password when opening, closing, and entering the drawer.
- Idle timeout: Register will automatically return to the PIN-protected Sign In screen after 10 minutes of inactivity. Employee PIN codes can be configured in the back office.
- Price-embedded barcode pattern: A code format field to tell the POS how to read a third party’s scale label prints. Can also be known as random-weight barcodes.
Credit Card Services
This page shows whether or not your credit card services are activated or not. The Service Provider should be listed as PAX (as all credit transactions are meant to be processed through the PAX SP30 PIN Pad.)
Selecting PIN Pad Setup Manual gives you a walkthrough on how to set up the PAX SP30 PIN Pad with the Salon & Spa system.
Devices
The options available here are:
- Local sync server
- Printers
- Payment terminal
Local Sync Server Settings
These settings are used when Network Troubleshooting and should not be adjusted without permission from a member of the Salon & Spa Team.
Printers
The Receipt Printer is used for printing customer-facing receipts and guest checks. This plugs directly into the POS system. If the printer is not responding, please ensure that the connection to the Power USB port is secure. Toggling the Printer to YES activates the connection with the Salon & Spa system.
PIN Pad Settings
The PIN Pad Settings screen allows the PAX SP30 PIN Pad to be connected to the Salon & Spa system for all credit processing. You also have the ability to select the following options:
- Automatic connection recovery: Disable this feature if you use multiple PAX terminals or if the terminal’s IP address is reserved in your router settings (static IP).
- Capture signature: Allows the PIN pad to capture signatures (if applicable).
- Tips request: Determines whether or not tips is accepted through the PIN Pad itself.
- Card type selection: Allows for the acceptance of debit-type cards through the PIN Pad
- If disabled, the cards are swiped as credit.
- Display line items: Determines if the items being purchased are displayed on the PIN Pad itself or not.
