Description: Within Salon & Spa and Checkout, you can designate items to prompt for age verification. Review how to set up age verification below.
Note: When using CipherLAB 1504P, it’s best to configure it to pre-parse driver's license data. This speeds up the verification process significantly. Expected pre-parsed format (Red – required fields, Bold – optional but strongly recommended, Italic – optional, “,” – required field separator if multiple fields configured): “DOB,EXP DATE,DOCUMENT ID,ISSUE DATE,LAST NAME,FIRST NAME”
Phase One: Scanning Setup Barcodes
To begin, use the barcode scanner to scan the barcodes below in the order they appear.
Phase 2
The following steps must be completed to obtain accurate results.
- Log in to the Back Office https://ic.harbortouch.com/User/SignIn?ReturnUrl=%2f
- Internal: https://my.franpos.com/User/SignIn
- OR If you are accessing Back Office directly from the POS system, click the Back Office button on the left side of the screen.
- Under Dashboard, click the Catalog button on the left side of the screen to access your Categories and Products.
Option One
You may add age verification on one specific item or by Category, which activates age verification on every item within the Category.
- If you choose to add the age verification to a specific Category you can do so by clicking Products and then selecting the Category you would like to apply age verification to:
- Once you have selected your desired Category click the first box on the left side (this selects all items within this category). Then select Batch Actions, More Options, Age Restriction, apply the age on the right side, then save changes.
- Once completed, the POS prompts you to enter the date of birth when ringing out these items. Enter Date of Birth, or scan the driver's license, and then click Accept.
Option Two
You may add an age restriction on a single item by clicking on the desired item. It does not necessarily need to have a category selected. Follow the steps as described above except for choosing a single item instead of a category.
