Configure a Buy One Get One Free Coupon in POSitouch

Configuration Steps

1. In POSitouch back office, open Quick Menu.
   
2. Select the desired screen for the coupon to reside (in this example, the coupon will reside on a screen labeled COUPONS).
          
3. Select a blank cell.    
4. Enter the following information:
   1. The name of the coupon in the Cell field.
   2. The desired Major and Minor categories.
   3. No Prep Cat in the Prep Cat field,
   4. 1 in the  Quantity Free field.
      
5. Select Secondary. Enable Coupon?.
   
6. Select New Rule.
   
   A new line will appear that says Coupon Rule 1.
   
7. Select the screen where the menu items that are eligible for the BOGO APPETIZER can be found. (This example will be a BOGO appetizer coupon in which one appetizer is ordered and the second one is free.)
   
8. Drag the eligible menu items under Coupon Rule 1.
9. Select New Rule.
   
10. Drag the eligible menu items under Coupon Rule 2.
    Note: If the Coupon Rule 2 items are identical to Coupon Rule 1, the Duplicate Rule button may be used.
    
11. Select Close.
    
12. In Positouch, navigate to Back Office Setup > User Privilege Codes > Assign Privileges 1-8.
13. Scroll down to 54-Coupons and enable the setting for the user types that can apply coupons. Select Save when complete.
14. From the Back Office Main menu, select Immediate System Change.
    
15. Select Continue.
    

Applying a BOGO Coupon at the Front of the House.

1. Touch two appetizers that are eligible for the coupon, then touch Send Order.
2. Reopen the check and navigate to the coupons screen where the BOGO Appetizer coupon is located. Select BOGO APPETIZER.
   
3. Upon selecting the BOGO APPETIZER coupon, the price for one of the appetizers will be removed.

Common Issues and Troubleshooting

When I touch the BOGO APPETIZER coupon, it doesn’t apply to my check.

Ensure that the specific appetizers ordered are listed in the coupon rules for the coupon.
